Starting from 06 of August 2021, for the entire stay in the “yellow zone” or “white zone” and until new government regulations, access to the archaeological complex of the Pozzo della Cava will be possible in compliance with the following rules:

  1. Admissions are guaranteed from 9:00 am to 7:45 pm from Tuesday to Sunday;
  2. On Monday, the access is guaranteed by reservation and / or in the presence of flows of visitors; visitors without a reservation are still allowed in the free turns between different bookings;
  3. The entrances are possible every 5 minutes, to avoid gatherings and allow the necessary sanitizations;
  4. Each turn is allowed to enter one person or family (or group not subject to social distancing) up to a maximum of 12 people at a time, however not exceeding 40 contemporary people in all the caves;
  5. Visitors with reservations (online, by telephone or in person) take precedence; the management has the right to provide different entrances for visitors booked and / or in possession of Orvieto Carta Unica, through special access path from the structure’s bookshop;
  6. Visitors without a reservation or with an expired reservation are allowed according to the availability of the remaining turns and in any case taking into account the order of arrival;
  7. In case of need, extraordinary times are foreseen, always respecting the staggering of the entrances every 5 minutes;
  8. Only visitors with a valid Covid-19 Green Pass (with the exception of point 11) or equivalent document (see points 9 and 10) are admitted; those without one will not be entitled to any refund for any tickets purchased in advance; all children and patrons not subject to this legal obligation are exempt from this measure;
  9. For countries in list A and C (ref. www.salute.gov.it) documents equivalent to the Covid-19 Green Pass are considered: Certificate of having received at least one dose of EMA-AIFA authorized vaccine, Negative swab result in the last 48 hours, Certificate of recovery from Covid 19 in the previous six months;
  10. For citizens from Israel, Canada, Japan and the United States it will be necessary to present (EU Recommendation No. 2021/912, 20-05-2021): identification of the person and type of vaccine taken and date of administration; the certificates can be in Italian, English, French or Spanish;
  11. The Green Pass is not required for children under the age of 12 and for those exempt on the basis of medical certification;
  12. All visitors are required to facilitate the control of the Covid-19 Green Pass or equivalent documents, which can be done through the appropriate app on the management device or by any other means, including private, at the same time also favoring a valid identity document;
  13. Visitors are allowed only after having disinfected their hands or wearing the disposable gloves made available by the management for anyone unable to use the sanitizing gel;
  14. The management reserves the right to check the body temperature of visitors by means of infrared thermoscanner, preventing access to those who have a temperature higher than that required by national protocols;
  15. Waiting is possible by maintaining the social distancing guaranteed by appropriate signs on the ground for any queues outside the ticket office;
  16. For the exit through the courtyard, the emergency exit, the access to the sales rooms and the toilets, there is a signage on the ground for social distancing;
  17. For security reasons, access to the part of the courtyard set up with tables and chairs is only possible for customers of the cafeteria and / or restaurant business after booking or checking the availability of seats;
